The Lord wants to use us as conduits of His love, grace and mercy to unleash His healing so people can be delivered and come to Him.  However, if we are going to heed His call, we must stay connected to the source of that power, the Lord Himself. Mark 1 tells us after sunset the people brought to Jesus all the sick and demon-possessed. 33 The whole town gathered at the door, 34 and Jesus healed many who had various diseases. He also drove out many demons… 35 Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house and went off to a solitary place, where he prayed.

God desires to empower you, and He has a purpose for this empowering. The Lord doesn’t fill you so you can sit around and fill empowered. He wants to equip you to minister in the power of the Spirit. So what does that ministry look like?
…It’s rescuing men and women out of the kingdom of darkness …and bringing them into the kingdom of light.
…It’s setting men and women free from captivity to Satan… and bringing their lives into line with the will of God.
…It’s delivering men and women from sin and its effects… so they can experience the fullness of God’s blessing.

When Jesus came to this world, He came as an invader to reestablish the rule of God. He announced that through His coming, the Kingdom of God was at hand (Mt.4:17) and at His second coming Jesus will destroy Satan’s kingdom and establish His complete rule. However, during this present time, the time we live in, these two kingdoms exist side by side, and they are in conflict: the Kingdom of God versus the kingdom of this world.

The longer I walk with Jesus, the more I am convinced that repentance is not just for sinners, but for believers at every stage of their growth in Jesus Christ. Each stage of development in our Christian life requires that we give up certain things in order to accept and take on new things.
