Baptism: June 4 at 10:00 a.m.
There will be no Sabbath School on June 4 be-cause everyone is invited to be a witness to those being baptized. Since Jesus was bap-tized, almost 2,000 years ago, baptism has been the signifier of membership in God‟s fami-ly. This is important as it conveys that we are not only free from the guilt of sin, but that we have also entered into a new relationship as adopted children of God.

 With the recent natural disasters both locally and around the globe, the Missions Team has arranged for an American Red Cross speaker to talk with us about how to prepare for emergencies and to take steps to minimize de-structive potential. David Sharpe, Community Prepar-edness Specialist, will be leading the discussion on Monday, May 16th at 6:30 p.m. in the basement of the Seventh Day Baptist Church, 720 E. Madison Ave., Milton.

Jesus was very clear about the mission he left his followers prior to his departure. “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” (Matthew 28:18-20)
